Belvoir has been such an amazing experience for Tayna. This camp was a life-changing experience for her. When Tayna came back in August, I saw how she turned into a mature young girl. Belvoir helped Tayna pursue her journey in dancing. She also found a new path in acting, This was her first time in a play and she found her voice. Thanks to Belvoir and all their wonderful opportunities that are available to offer the girls, Tayna had the opportunity to encounter different activities she’s never tried before. The sculpture was a hands-on class that she enjoyed apart from dancing, Jewelry class has shown her that hard work and patience pays off. Her tennis lessons were amazing! She has learned many techniques and had fun.
As it was Tayna’s first time going to sleep away camp, she was very concerned and emotional. This was her first time being away from her family. Though she was emotional as it began, the girls at Belvoir made her feel welcomed and wanted. The only thing Tayna talks about now is wanting to go back to Belvoir for the most wonderful six weeks of her life! Thanks to Diane and Nancy for creating a successful program where girls can go and learn, achieve, accomplish their dreams and more, And return home with a matured mindset.
