Belvoir Terrace is a beautiful place! I am so grateful that I got to spend my summer there. At first, I was scared of going away for the summer because I had never been away from my family before, but as soon as I stepped onto the camp grounds, I knew I was going to be okay because everyone was so welcoming. At Belvior, I was able to take many classes that I wouldn’t be able to do anywhere else. I also gained confidence and learned a lot because of the wonderful and supportive teachers that work at Belvoir. Nancy and Diane are two of the kindest and caring people I have ever met. From day one, they always made me feel like I was part of a family and always took the time to ask me how I was doing. I loved meeting people from around the country and some from around the world. I had the opportunity to form strong friendships with some of the girls by spending quality time with them without the distractions of texting and social media. I grew a lot this summer artistically, but most importantly, personally. I hope that one day I can give back so that other girls have the same opportunity that I've had to attend Belvoir Terrace. We are so grateful that Juliana had the opportunity to attend Belvoir Terrace this past summer. Juliana is a very special young lady and we knew that when it was time for her to spend her summer away at a sleep away camp it had to be at a very special place. Belvoir Terrace offered everything we were looking for - training opportunities in the arts but also a warm and nurturing environment where Juliana would grow emotionally. Juliana absolutely loved her summer experience! At Belvoir she formed beautiful friendships and learned about the importance of community. She was able to enjoy being in the moment in a beautiful setting without the distractions of electronics. When she returned home we saw immediately how much her confidence grew, how much more mature she was and how she improved in her arts training. We truly believe that this will be an experience that she will always remember and cherish.
